If Language Was a Subway Map: Now this is a fantastic way to teach. This graph represents languages and the countries in which they are spoken in the form of subway stops and train lines. English is the single gold line and its line starts in Seychelles (an island country in the Indian ocean) and ends in Nauru (island in the South Pacific). In between you have the USA, Canada, the Bahamas, the UK, etc. There are also 6 Zones: Europe, Middle East, the Americas, Oceania and Australia, Asia, and Sub-Saharan Africa.
As a small town girl I can say I would take the midnight train anywhere in this rail system.
